Cards and Accompaniments

Dana Sardano received her BA Special Education and spent the bulk of her career as the Director of Student Development in a private college preparatory high school, where she taught English, history, study and organizational skills. Throughout Dana’s career, she wore many hats, but her greatest passion was keeping her students captivated with her personal stories and inspirational anecdotes. In 2017, Dana retired from a 23-year career in education to pursue a career as a visual artist and writer and has since authored several books, bringing the magic of her stories to life.

Ten Recommandments Contemplation Journal

Created as an accompaniment to Ten Recommandments for Personal Empowerment, Book One in the Ten Recs Trilogy.

After writing Ten Recommandments for Personal Empowerment, Dana quickly realized that sometimes reading the information just isn’t enough. In order to truly effect positive change in your life, you must integrate and apply the information that you’ve learned, and one of the best ways to do that is through interactive writing.

With this newfound insight, Dana put on her teacher hat and created this Ten Recommandments Contemplation Journal to utilize in conjunction with the book. In this journal, Dana offers some guidance by adding open ended questions to assist with your contemplation. She includes some practice exercises to assist with your integration. She throws in some “hot tips” to keep it interesting, and she wraps it up with a beautiful bow of insightful quotes.

Veda Finds Her Crown 9-Week Curriculum

Although Veda Finds Her Crown connects with children (and adults) of all ages, this curriculum is best utilized with adolescents from approximately 10 to 15 years old and can be modified to reach an even broader audience.

This 9-week curriculum emphasizes the importance of self-regulation and personal accountability so that children grow into adulthood more empowered and with healthy self-esteem.

This curriculum addresses one chakra each week with the first week dedicated to the introduction of the chakras and the final week dedicated to the integration of the chakras.

In this cross-curricular unit of study, each chakra is introduced through varying learning modalities that emphasize the practicality of chakra health and its effect on personal development.

Through this area of study, students learn how to incorporate their understanding of the chakras into their development, how to regulate these energy centers, and how to healthily process their emotions in fun interactive ways.

Through integration exercises, language arts activities, reading activities, workbook activities, art projects, scientific connections, creative writing exercises, and open classroom discussions, the needs of the whole child are always addressed through playful, activity-based, cross-curricular experiences.

The beauty of teaching this curriculum is that the adults facilitate this growth for the children but always grow a little bit themselves in the process.
